Hi, I’m Angela, Co-Founder and Membership Manager of Whakamana Teen Dance Club.
We are excited to welcome your teen to our First Dance. Whakamana was created to give teens a fun, welcoming, respectful, and safe place to connect, dance, and build community.
To help the evening end smoothly, please make your teen’s pickup plan before they arrive. The First Dance ends at 10:00 PM, and every teen must be picked up and out of the building by 10:15 PM. Please meet your teen at the main entrance on time. No exceptions.
Before the event, please take a moment to read our Code of Conduct. These standards help us protect every teen in the room and create the kind of community we want Whakamana to be.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to a great first night.

Whakamana Teen Dance Club
Hello, everyone.
My name is Angela.
I’m Co-Founder of Whakamana Teen Dance Club
and Director of Memberships.
I want to welcome everyone to our First Dance
and answer a few questions
that have been asked on social media.
One of the most common questions
has been about security.
That is completely understandable.
We want you to know
that security is paramount to us.
The club has equipment
dedicated to safety.
The club is equipped with cameras
inside and outside,
so rest assured that your kids
will be monitored throughout the event.
We also have dedicated staff
who have been trained for this purpose.
They are there for your teen
and to make sure the night runs smoothly
and everybody has a great time.
If you have any more questions
and would like to send us an email,
please do not hesitate.
Our email is
info@whakamanaclub.com.
We will see you on the dance floor.
